Grounding Fuel Tank

N11HC
Glasair Super II-S FT

See EAA article on grounding of composite aircraft.

Also see POH, 4-9.7 Refueling.

The right wing and header fuel tanks have chains connected to the caps.  The wing cap chain is bonded to the capacitance probe which should always be touching the fuel surface somewhere in the wing.  The header cap's chain is long enough to touch the bottom of the tank and also always touching the fuel surface.

By following the refueling procedures in the checklist and POH, the fuel hose should always be grounded to the fuel's surface.
